Snowflake is located South of Holbrook and North of Show Low. We are close to the Petrified Forest National Park, Sipe White Mountain Wildlife Area & The Silver Creek Hatchery Wildlife Area. The upper end of Silver Creek is the best place in the state to view the native Apache trout and an excellent place to view waterfowl, such as mallard, gadwall, and cinnamon teal. Other birds to look for include northern flicker, ash-throated flycatcher, Say’s phoebe, western and Cassin’s kingbirds, western scrub and pinyon jays. Mule deer and elk are occasionally observed at dawn and dusk . |
